PPGI/color coated galvanized steel coil
Also known as coated rolled steel coils and color coated steel coils, PPGI are a flat steel product on which protective decorative paint is applied. A polymer coating is available in various colours as well as a matte, lustre or decorative natural finish (granite, wood, etc). Organic coated galvanized steel is corrosion-resistant, has excellent mechanical properties and can be formed, profiled or stamped.

PPGI is color-coated galvanized iron, also known as color-coated steel, coil-coated steel, color-coated steel, etc., usually using hot-dip galvanized steel as the base material. The hot-dip metallization process is also used to manufacture steel sheets and coils with aluminized or zinc/aluminum, zinc/iron and zinc/aluminum/magnesium alloy coatings, which can also be pre-painted at the factory. While GI is sometimes used as a collective term for various hot-dipped metal-coated steels, it is more accurate to refer only to galvanized steel. Likewise, PPGI is sometimes used as a generic term for a range of pre-painted metal-coated steels, but more accurately refers to pre-painted zinc-coated steels.
