Stainless Steel Coil is one of the most sought after raw materials in construction and manufacturing. Due to its unique mechanical and physical properties, stainless steel coils have been widely used in the production of kitchen utensils to industrial equipment. They are strong, corrosion resistant, lightweight and require low maintenance. In addition, they are very flexible and can easily meet the requirements of a range of design criteria. Within the industry (especially manufacturing), many grades of stainless steel coil can be found, each with different properties and usability.
Stainless steel coils are made by hot rolling stainless steel sheets in a heating furnace. The hot rolling process is carried out at a certain high temperature. Known in the industry as the recrystallization temperature, this temperature ranges from 1,100°C to 1,300°C, usually depending on the grade of steel used in the manufacturing process. The billet is continuously passed through the heating and rolling mill. The resulting product is then suitably wound. After hot rolling and coiling, stainless steel coils go through annealing and pickling lines to obtain a softer and brighter surface finish without any oxide layer and impurities.
