Welding, torching, or abrasive sawing galvanized steel is not recommended without proper protection and adequate ventilation. Galvanized pipes are A36 hot rolled steel, or mild steel, pipes that have been dipped into a molten zinc coating process (ASTM A123). Hot-dipped galvanize (HDG) can be identified by its crystallization pattern, also known as “spangle” on the surface of the material. Great corrosion resistance, excellent candidate for outdoor use or exposed environments. Common applications include potable water and drainage, fencing, posts, railing systems, and low pressure plumbing.

Hot-dip galvanized seamless steel pipe structure: Hot-dip galvanized steel pipe is to make the molten metal material react with the iron substrate to form an aluminum alloy layer, so that the substrate and the coating are closely combined.
The hot-dip galvanized pipe is to pickle and passivate the seamless steel pipe first. Hot-dip galvanizing has the advantages of uniform coating, strong adhesion and long service life. The hot-dip galvanized steel pipe substrate and the molten plating solution produce complex physical and chemical changes, forming a corrosion-resistant zinc-nonferrous metal layer with a close structure. The aluminum alloy layer is integrated with the pure zinc layer and the seamless steel pipe base material. Therefore, it has strong corrosion resistance.
